What is a S.O.U.L. Trip?

S.O.U.L. (Serving Others United in Love) trips are mission trips that occur during Spring break. Trip options vary from assisting in schools for underprivileged students to working in soup kitchens and homeless shelters to house construction. While on trips, students help those in need while growing personally and spiritually. For more information about the trips being offered this year, stop by the Campus Ministry office.

How do I get involved in a group of activity?
All of the groups and activities that are sponsored by Campus Ministry are open to all members of the Saint Mary’s community. Some groups and activities require a year long commitment while others only take an afternoon or evening. If you are interested in getting involved in any Campus Ministry activity, stop by the office and talk to one of our staff members. We would be happy to point you in the right direction and answer any questions you may have.
When is Mass celebrated on campus?

Mass is celebrated in Saint Thomas More Chapel each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Daily Mass is also celebrated in Saint Thomas More Chapel Monday through Friday at 12:15 p.m.

Campus Ministry has a list of worship locations and times for all faiths available to those worshipping off campus.

What if I'm not Catholic?

Campus Ministry welcomes students of all faith backgrounds and invites everyone to all events. Although Campus Ministry sponsors many Catholic events, opportunities for students of other faiths are available as well. Students of all backgrounds are encouraged to take part in any program that will help in personal and spiritual growth.

Who is Campus Ministry for?
Campus Ministry is for all the students and members of the Saint Mary’s University community. Using our roots in Lasallian spirituality, Campus Ministry works to help everyone grow in their relationship with Christ and each other.
What is a L.I.F.T. retreat?

L.I.F.T. (Lasallians in Faith Together) retreats are three-day retreats that occur once a semester. Based on the Paschal Mystery, these student-led retreats offer participants an opportunity to grow spiritually and get to know other students.

What does Campus Ministry offer?
Each year Campus Ministry offers a number of programs for students. Throughout the year opportunities to grow spiritually and personally are available. Campus Ministry also offers a number of ways to serve those in need.
Where is the Office of Campus Ministry?

The Office of Campus Ministry is located in Vlazny Hall, Office 130 and 132. Stop by to find out more about what we do – or just to take a break from a day of class work.

Who can I talk to about my faith life and personal issues?

Each of our Campus Ministers are ready and willing to answer questions, assist in spiritual growth, discuss faith development and experiences, or just listen to what you have to say. Also, for more in-depth spiritual direction, Father Kevin Stolt, IVE, our chaplain, is available for spiritual direction.  He can be contacted at kstolt@smumn.edu.
